You will work with the various ministry team leaders whose teams are receiving donated items to make sure those items move out of the Donation Center in a timely manner. Time commitment is currently one hour/week or less, and can be served as your schedule allows. All necessary training will be provided. Help Haiti
  • Haiti Earthquake Relief - We will continue to collect indefinitely the items Northwest Haiti Christian Mission has requested. These items cannot be out-of-date. Bring donations to the church any time, and place in the designated containers.  The following are the core items we are collecting: Topical antibiotic creams, Protein bars, Nutrition bars, Peanut butter, Toothbrushes, Toothpaste, Bar soap, Gauze pads, Bandages, Tylenol, Ibuprofen. Monetary donations remain the number one need. Click here for more information, or you can write a check payable to “CACC” with “Haiti Relief” in the memo line.
  • Haiti Project: LIV POU YO OFELEN (Books for Orphans) - One of our short term Haiti teams spent several days at the orphanage in Saline Maillete turning a storage room into a library for the orphans. That means we need lots and lots of books! The smaller children are just learning to read and the older ones are now beginning to study English. We are purchasing Creole and bilingual (Creole/English) books, dictionaries, Bibles and Bible curriculum. You can help by either ordering books online (look at websites below or just Google “Haitian Creole Books”) or through donations and we will purchase them. Books average $10-$15 each. Monetary donations may be made online, placed in the offering plate, or turned in at the Information Booth. Help Haiti's Children to Read!
  • If you would like to do something special for the Haitian children, we are accepting donations of marbles, dominoes, dark-skinned baby dolls, and hair holders for the girls.  Haitian girls are not permitted to attend school if their hair is not “done”!  These items can be dropped off at the same place all other donations are being collected.  Thanks so much for your support.
  • Thank You Seamstresses!!! Thank you to everyone who has been sewing clothing for the orphans in Haiti. Including what the current team has taken down, we will have clothed 78 girls. If you happen to have unfinished sewing projects still at home, please contact Ann Wise about including them in a Christmas box to be sent in October.
Small Groups Starting Soon
  • Knot Tighteners is a small group for married couples interested in study, fellowship, and prayer as a couple and with other couples. The group has been on hiatus for the summer, and will begin again on Wed., Sept. 15 with a family picnic (bring a side dish or dessert) at 6:00 pm in our pavilion. This will be a time of "meet and greet" so you are welcome to come check us out then. Beginning in October, the group will resume meeting on first and third Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 pm at the church. Child care is provided by the one and only Becky Oliver. We end promptly at 8:00 because of the child care, and a donation basket is put out each week at the snack table to cover the cost of child care. If you have any questions, please email Sam & Deb Brenneman or call 737-2228.
  • The Monday Night Ladies’ Bible Study is on break from now until Sept. 13. Beginning Sept. 13 at 6:45, a new 4-week Bible study series entitled, "Overcoming Fear with Faith" will begin. This is open to all women interested in attending. For more information, please email Jo Ann Cheeseman.
